It was 100% amazing. Bill went to culinary school and is in the food service business, and he asked to see the chef twice to say how delicious it was. The service, food, and accommodations were perfect. We used the spa service twice, enjoyed the game drives and the accommodations. The weather was warm and air conditioners could not keep up with the heat in the rooms, but that is beyond their control and did not bother us. We had a herd of elephants come through the lodge daily, with one so close to our room, we could have touched it if we dared. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Simbavati and would stay there again with no hesitations. Golden and Ngosi were great as our driver and ...

Because of a cancellation our room at Olivers was upgraded. Again friendly, clean, luxury was the name of the game. We relaxed in a way unknown on the rest of the holiday. Quiet beauty, with a porch on the edge of the garden. It seemed like no one else was there. Yet there were no empty tables at dinner. Thank you Cindy for polishing my boots scuffed terribly from being in the bush.
After your last breakfast at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge, you will be taken to Oliver's Lodge & Restaurant. Set amidst the lush greenery of White River on the Panorama Route, Oliver's is a warm and elegant retreat, perfect for a one-night stay. Renowned for its award-winning restaurant, the lodge combines European charm with South African hospitality. The luxurious rooms, each with unique decor, feature private balconies or verandas overlooking the picturesque garden or golf course, creating an inviting atmosphere.
During your stay, indulge in a gourmet dining experience with dishes inspired by continental and local flavours, paired with a curated selection of fine wines. The lodge's tranquil setting makes it an ideal base for some rest and relaxation before heading to your final destination, Victoria Falls.

Another great experience was the Victoria Falls River Lodge. Although it was further out of town than I expected and we had to endure the dusty bumpy road to get there and back, the lodge itself was great. Our guide from the lodge took us on the Victoria Falls walk which was great then we did the helicopter ride which was fantastic.
