On arrival at Ivato International Airport, you will be transferred to Maison Gallieni for your first night in Madagascar. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool or take a leisurely stroll through the surrounding lush gardens. Your first night is topped off with panoramic views of the colourful city, including sights of the Faravohitra Cathedral and rolling hillsides. Sip on a cocktail, and later, indulge in a homemade, delectable meal in the spacious dining hall.

After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to Mantadia Lodge for your next two nights. Your guide will lead you on a cultural tour of the city before you embark on your first safari adventure. A stop at Tana’s Rova (also known as the Queen’s Palace) will treat you to views of traditional Malagasy architecture from the city’s peak.

During the four-hour drive to your next destination, enjoy views of highland landscapes and local villages. At Peyrieras Butterfly Farm, you’ll have the chance to meet fascinating critters. Your first night in Andasibe wraps up with a check-in at Mantadia Lodge, followed by a moonlit walk through the majestic Mitsinjo Reserve rainforest.

On your next morning, an early brisk hike will take you through the primary forest of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, allowing you to immerse yourself in the fresh sounds and scents of nature. Navigate the thick woodland with its hundreds of orchids and diverse wildlife. Following the hike, set out on a cultural visit to the vibrant Andasibe Village to meet some of the locals and take in the alpine architecture that houses its lively central markets.

After your last breakfast at Mantadia Lodge, you will be transferred to Relais des Plateaux for your next two nights. On your way to the luxury 4-star hotel, enjoy a leisurely hike through the evergreen forest of the Analamazaotra Special Reserve. Under the canopy of towering trees ranging from 16m to 30m in height, surrounded by dense vegetation and steep slopes, you’ll spot the indigenous ‘Indri Indri’ lemur frolicking along the trail. A less intensive stroll through the Vakona Reserve will highlight the freshwater surrounds of this island where you get to meet more lemurs and see if you can spot some crocodiles.

Before you head to your next destination, you will indulge in a hot stone massage or unwind amidst the soothing essential oils at the Hammam spa. Wrap up your stay at the Relais des Plateaux with a delightful, hearty meal at their on-site restaurant.

On your fifth morning, you will be charter flown to Anjajavy le Lodge for your next four nights. Nestled near a quaint, remote fishing village along the Anjajavy peninsula, this 4-star eco-resort gives you access to four of Madagascar’s gems of nature.

You’ll make the most of your stay here with guided walks through the rich landscapes of Madagascar. Starting with a walk through the deciduous forest, ebony trees and baobabs, then hop over to the only protected mangrove with its dense overgrowth of trees and shrubs. Next up, you’ll explore the unique limestone rock formations of the Tsingy.

It’s always a good day to indulge in some birdwatching. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of Madagascar water birds, including the sacred ibis and the flying fox. You can enhance your experience with more coastal adventures like kayaking and paddling, and discover that there is so much to see on this tour. Wrap up your final night with a special boat excursion on the glittering waters of Anjajavy’s remote beaches.
