Overview

Spend 6 unforgettable days exploring the jewel of the Kalahari – Botswana’s extraordinary Okavango Delta, a place that has long been one of Africa’s greatest off-the-radar family-friendly destinations.

Arrive at Maun Airport where you will be transferred to the elegant Sandibe Safari Lodge, located on the banks of a permanent channel in a private concession next to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. It’s classic big game country and you’ll spend your time on exciting 4×4 game drives or aboard a traditional canoe (mokoro), travelling the delta’s winding waterways.

The second part of your safari takes you to another safari lodge in the Okavango Delta: Khwai Leadwood, also set in a private concession. Spend time here on day & night game drives, guided nature walks and mokoro trips.

    Catch a flight from Johannesburg and arrive at Maun Airport in Botswana, gateway to the Okavango Delta. Once there, you will be met and transferred to Sandibe Lodge. Sandibe Safari Lodge is positioned on a permanent channel in the south-east reaches of the Okavango Delta. It lies within a private concession, adjacent to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, which means sensational game viewing coupled with the extra activities that are offered in these exclusive concessions – night drives and guided nature walks.

    Spend your days here on 4×4 game drives and tranquil mokoro rides through the reed-lined channels and across floodplains. You can also choose to stay and relax at the lodge, sleep late and enjoy a dip in the swimming pool.

      Today you’ll board a light aircraft for your air transfer to Khwai Leadwood, your second luxurious Okavango Delta accommodation. Khwai Leadwood is a stylish and intimate tented safari lodge on the drier southern edge of the Okavango Delta – you’ll be setting out on foot or by 4X4 in search of wildlife, or embarking on a mokoro trip, depending on the season’s water levels. And since you are in a private concession, you’ll also have the chance to set off on a night drive in search of the Delta’s nocturnal animals.
