15-Day Sustainable Kenya & Tanzania Experience
East Africa is a renowned safari destination, offering untouched wilderness teeming with wildlife — from the Big Five to elusive wild cats. Kenya embraces you with a closer-to-nature experience on the banks of the Emboo River in the renowned Masai Mara. Tanzania delights with the predator-dense Serengeti, trekking in the Highlands, and swimming in Zanzibar's tropical waters.
A one-night stay at Hemingways Nairobi kicks off your journey, where you can enjoy the freedom to relax at the hotel or explore the city's highlights. Next, three nights at the solar-powered Emboo River Camp place you in the heart of the Mara for informative game drives and nature walks. Namiri Plains Camp marks the Tanzania portion of your stay, with three nights in tented suites and predator-focused game drives.
Then, hike in the Ngorongoro Crater while enjoying three nights at the stylish Highlands Camp. Your final stop offers swimming and snorkelling along a quiet beachfront with four nights of coastal bliss at the Manta Resort.
This tour is perfect for couples seeking a holiday that combines sustainable travel with thrilling African adventures. Stay in eco-luxury in the Masai Mara, learn about the Serengeti Cheetah Project's conservation efforts, hike volcanic craters and snorkel along secluded reefs.
The Hemingway Hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was the most beautiful hotel room we have ever seen in our life! The service could have been better but the hotel was gorgeous and everyone was super nice!
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a private driver awaits to take you to your one-night stay at the five-star Hemingways Nairobi — a sanctuary of quiet sophistication. Set amid manicured lawns, framed by trees and dotted with rose bushes, it offers a tranquil start to your East Africa tour.
Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some of the city's cultural highlights, including the historic Karen Blixen Museum, wandering the grounds of her original homestead — the setting that inspired her storied legacy, Out of Africa. Nairobi National Park is a not-to-be-missed stopover — the world's most unique reserve, where wildlife sightings unfold against a majestic city skyline.
Alternatively, enjoy complimentary access to the hotel's sauna, steam room, and pool for an afternoon steeped in relaxation. As the sun dips below the horizon, make your way to the terrace where you're treated to a menu of handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and fine wines.

After breakfast, fly from Wilson Airport to Ol Kiombo Airstrip for three nights of eco-luxury at Emboo River Camp. Your tented lodgings, fully solar-powered, blend exquisitely with nature as they curve along a tranquil river bend.
Throughout your stay, you're treated to morning and afternoon safaris in an electric game vehicle, designed to reduce the camp's carbon footprint. As one of Africa's most wildlife-rich regions, you'll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five, including lions and leopards quietly stalking their prey.
Although rhinos are a rarer sighting, protected areas are home to black rhinos, while elephants and buffalo traverse the plains in search of prime grazing spots. Enjoy nature walks around the campsite, marvelling at rivers dotted with hippos and crocodiles.
For adventure-seekers, aerial safaris are available to book – an afternoon in a hot-air balloon offers a bird's-eye view of the seasonal Great Migration. On horseback safaris, explore the savannahs at a gentle, rhythmic pace that invites quiet, undisturbed wildlife viewing.
In the evenings, huddle around the campfire for sundowners, sharing stories of the day's sightings over a glass of wine before retreating to the lodge's dining area, with the sound of the river creating a tranquil ambience.

The Namiri Plains Camp staff was perfection. Every team member seemed so well trained and authentically happy to serve others. Innocent (our server), Moussa (housekeeping), Augustino (our bush guide & transfer), and Respick (the manager) were as good as it gets in the hospitality industry. The surprise cake and celebration for our son’s graduation was so unexpected. I was crying it was so emotional and all 20 (ish) team members that came out to help us celebrate seemed so genuinely happy for our family and like they really enjoyed celebrating with us.
Head back to the skies for a flight to Seronera Airstrip. Spend three nights at the stylish Namiri Plains Camp embraced by the solitude of the Serengeti. Here, wild cats rule the plains and offer unforgettable wildlife viewing for guests.
Your second night promises an evening of conservational insights. Visit the Serengeti Cheetah Project with their years of dedication to monitoring the bird and survival rates of cheetahs in the region. Their great work contributes to the thriving rates of big cats in the area.
Open vehicle game drives will bring you closer to spotting hyenas travelling in their packs and zebra herds dotted along the plains with the iconic silhouettes of acacia trees. Seasonal walking safaris are led by specialist guides, ready to share in the deep knowledge of the bush, pointing out the tracks of elusive predators and identifying the songs of local birds.
The camp is designed to embody the simple pleasures from soaking in the tub on your private deck overlooking undisturbed panoramas while dinner under the stars is a romantic dining option for couples.

The service was truly beyond anything I could have imagined. While the drive to the lodge is a bit long, it was a beautiful journey that allowed us to see more of Africa along the way. The lodge itself is stunning, with rooms that are both stylish and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay.
The next day, fly to Lake Manyara for three nights at The Highlands Camp in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Perched on the highest point of the Olmoti Crater, the camp offers an extraordinary vantage, with domed tents featuring floor-to-ceiling faceted windows that frame breathtaking views of distant volcanic mountains and forested hillsides.
On your first full day, fuel up with a hearty breakfast and coffee on the deck, in eager anticipation of your full-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater. Acclaimed as the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, the crater floor promises thrilling game drives where you may spot black rhino and other Big Five wildlife.
The following day, lace up your hiking boots and trek to the lesser-known Empakaai Crater, where pink flamingos huddle across the lake.
