Tanzania's Highlands & Serengeti East
A 11-day tour for an independent-minded traveller who is keen to experience as much as possible, this safari has the advantage of more nights than usual on this route. Your professional driver-guide proves a wealth of information as you travel through an ever-changing landscape. The itinerary takes in the classic wildlife destinations of Tanzania's northern circuit, beginning with a peaceful night at an Arusha lodge to unwind after what may have been a long journey.
Ngorongoro Crater is first, most famous for its concentrations of wildlife and a rewarding destination throughout the year. Home to large numbers of elephants and other heavyweight animals such as buffalo and giraffe. A full-day safari on the flat floor of the Ngorongoro Crater provides opportunities to spot the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) and perhaps flamingos and hippos in the Crater wetlands.
Travelling between destinations by 4X4 vehicle for part of the way means the chance to sit back and watch a traditional rural landscape pass by, framed by epic Rift Valley scenery. The vehicle has been designed to make photography as easy as possible: large windows and a pop-up roof, and everyone gets a window seat. The accommodation includes elegant tented camps with no more than 10 suites, each with fabulous views.
When you book this safari Go2Africa will donate $5 to the VETA Hotel and Tourism Training Institute to support the annual sponsorship of two students.

The service was truly beyond anything I could have imagined. While the drive to the lodge is a bit long, it was a beautiful journey that allowed us to see more of Africa along the way. The lodge itself is stunning, with rooms that are both stylish and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay.

The Namiri Plains Camp staff was perfection. Every team member seemed so well trained and authentically happy to serve others. Innocent (our server), Moussa (housekeeping), Augustino (our bush guide & transfer), and Respick (the manager) were as good as it gets in the hospitality industry. The surprise cake and celebration for our son’s graduation was so unexpected. I was crying it was so emotional and all 20 (ish) team members that came out to help us celebrate seemed so genuinely happy for our family and like they really enjoyed celebrating with us.
A packed lunch and a game drive sustain you to your next accommodation on this safari: Namiri Plains. Set in the productive and ever-reliable Seronera region of the Serengeti, the name of the camp translates as ‘big cat’ in Swahili and for good reason: this is excellent predator country all year round and is especially renowned for cheetah.
Reliable predator sightings, especially cheetah
Remote location more than an hour's drive from other camps
Bush breakfasts and sundowner drinks in pristine wilderness

By far our FAVORITE vendor. They are just SO GOOD. It's pampering, but in a very local, authentic African style. I know there are even more expensive options, but I can't think of why you would pay more.
