A Serengeti beer in the Serengeti.

Marc Horne

Head of Brand

I was born in Zimbabwe, moved to South Africa, then hopped over to London after studying marketing and getting some work experience. The pull of Africa brought me back home to Cape Town, where I now reside with my two sons.

From a young age, I spent tons of time in the bush with my brother, hiking mountains with friends, and going on endless road trips. That sense of adventure stuck with me, and now my boys are just as hooked. When we’re not out exploring together, you'll find me running in the mountains or chasing waves – adventure’s out there.

Marketing and advertising is what I do, but joining the Go2Africa team in 2023 really brought everything together. Now, I get to mix my love for African adventures with my marketing skills, and importantly being able to make a difference to vital ecosystems and communities.

Soulful Safari Reflection

There are so many to choose from – from the adventures with my boys to expeditions with my friends. But one recent one that stands out was an all-day game drive in the Serengeti with my person, whilst we had the most incredible sightings, what made this day so amazing is that we just laughed so much. It was our time to be together, just the two of us. And that's what the bush does, it reconnects you, if you let it.
