I was born and raised in Denmark but have lived in South Africa for most of my adult life as I married a Capetonian. I have worked in the travel industry since arriving in Africa and with Go2Africa for more than 20 years now. Africa has a way of getting into your blood and I consider myself half African now!
Watching a sunset in the African bush is something extremely special and beautiful. On a trip to South Luangwa, Zambia, we stopped for a sundowner next to the Luangwa River – I will never forget watching the sun setting while elephants crossed the river. We watched the baby elephants play with the occasional sound of a hippo grunting in the background, it really was a soul fulfilling moment.
