Royal Livingstone was a perfect fit for us. We were all blown away by the animals on the grounds. So fun to see them! It is a beautiful location too! Staff were so attentive. Can't wait to go back! The tea was a bit disappointing because they only prepped it for 4 people rather than 6, but once we realized they weren't charging us for 6, that was better! The breakfasts at Royal Livingstone were phenomenal! More time in Victoria Falls would have been enjoyed by all!

We could not believe the beauty of Victoria Falls and loved the Royal Livingstone! Wow! The hotel is amazing and the staff was wonderful. The closeness to the falls was worth the price and the animals there on the hotel grounds are a wonderful treat! We did the ultimate river cruise and could not think of a better way to see everything! Highly recommended! The water taxi in was perfect! The helicopter and the devil’s pool were great as well! Wow!

The Royal Livingstone is spectacular! The dinner menu was a bit disappointing, but everything else was good.

The Royal Livingstone Hotel was very comfortable and the staff really professional! Victoria Falls was very different, but a unique experience – and easily accessible from our hotel!

Royal Livingstone was stunning.

It was overwhelming. The scenery, the rooms, the garden, everything was perfect. And the kids sleeping in the Zambezi Sun was a super combination

Royal Livingstone was beautiful and a nice last stop on our trip. The first afternoon in Livingstone we just went down to the falls. The second day we went to the Mukuni lion walk in the morning, then to Livingstone Island and Angel’s Pool which was amazing, and then we went to the bridge for bungee swing in the late afternoon.

The amenities at the Royal Livingstone were great – from the hand massage at check-in to the glass enclosed work-out room, all with a butler and a view of the falls!!!

Arriving at the Royal Livingstone was so exciting! The view was breathtaking. This was definitely the nicest hotel I have ever been to. Again, everyone was so welcoming and everything was so well thought out. Our rooms and the hotel as a whole were beautiful. We went on the river cruise and loved getting to watch the sunset on the Zambezi. Then we went to the bar at the Zambezi Sun to listen to live music. It was great that was within walking distance. We definitely were never bored. My personal favorite part of the trip was hiking Victoria Falls. I feel extremely blessed to have gotten to see such an amazing work of God so close up! Leaving the Royal Livingstone was tough but the Chobe Game Lodge definitely did not disappoint.

Well this is another phenomenal hotel. Doing the river safari and lunch on Livingstone island. Already been on the helicopter!!!!!!

Our journey ends at the Victoria Falls at Zambian site. Another lovely country, and a very special Hotel and perfect service (Royal Livingstone). Many partners from different countries and companies were worked in a harmony which we could not expect that promptness even in Europe, but we were in Africa !!! After a romantic sun dawn cruise on Zambezi river and an Elephant ride, it was very hard for us to finish our legendary journey and turn back to home and return to our jobs

Livingstone in our view was not in the same class as Sun City’s Palace of the Lost City but the Victoria Falls was a first for me and i stood in the rain forest and exhilarated in the misty shower as the temperature was 38 degrees.

We all had an amazing time, Livingstone was surreal, the hotel fantastic and everything you arranged was first class.

Livingstone is as good as it gets. I will go back there any time. Professional, efficient and above all very presentable plus having wild zebras wandering around at breakfast is something that we are not going to forget in hurry. Victoria Falls awesome natural wonder. Seeing it from Microlight was breathtaking. Additional trips we have done were organised with minimum effort plus Christmas dinner not to be missed for anyone who is travelling in this period of time. Hotel highly recommended.

Hotels we stayed were fantastic. Loved the Royal Livingstone! It was not too kid friendly, but we managed…and besides the Zambezi Sun hotel which is a part of the same property is available. My children loved the pool at Zambezi Sun better. The property also has some animals like Zebras, impalas, velvet monkeys and giraffes which is a huge plus to amuse children.

Royal Livingstone Hotel is so classical and nobility in nature. We adore its architecture and design. Prices for high tea and dinner are reasonable. Staff are more friendly and accommodating. They served us well with warm hospitality. Welcome drinks with hand massage is the best thing they have compared to other hotels. Foods are great. We’ve tried Zambezi’s dinner buffet too!

The Royal Livingstone is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at. We loved our room and spent a lot of time on our ground-level screened porch watching animals just outside. Breakfasts in the morning and sunsets on the outside deck were great.

We also loved Livingstone, the Royal Livingstone was amazing, definitely our favorite “big” hotel.

Royal Livingstone was a fabulous hotel and was wonderful for me to walk in and out of the falls.

The Livingstone Hotel was all that we had heard and read – Old World charm with a British colonial flavor. The food was excellent. Thank you for arranging the high tea – it was just what we needed. (The service at the
restaurants was a bit slower than what we were used to, although this may due to the fact that we are Americans and are not used to the slower pulse of south Africa.) The rooms were flawless with wonderful showers.
Victoria Falls was incredible and left us breathless and speechless. We went several times to view it from different angles and in different light. We crossed over to Zimbabwe, a minor inconvenience with a major payoff – superior views of the falls that we will remember forever. We arranged a driver through the hotel who made drop-off and pick-up easy and helped us through immigration. The shop in the park was perhaps the best shop we found (unfortunately, our credit card company decided we didn’t need to be charging things in Zimbabwe, even though we had given them our itinerary before we went). Our girls also enjoyed the market on the Zambian side and learned the art of bargaining. We took an evening cruise on the Zambezi River which was very enjoyable and offered beautiful views of shore and the sunset. We also enjoyed the lion walk, the cheetah encounter, and the elephant ride with Mukuni Big 5 Safari.

Royal Livingstone accommodations were excellent and we had a great walk to the falls – and got very wet.

Overall it went like clockwork with the activities and hotel selections excellent.

Royal Livingstone Hotel, Zambia, This place is perfectly situated, and is a class residence. all the staff are friendly & helpful. However, it is not perfect for 5 star. Instant coffee for my first morning coffee is NOT 5 star, The restaurant served an abomination called Lamb Cannelloni, it was awful and I politely told them that I would not pay for it. In fairness, the manager agreed with me. We returned on the 3rd night and enjoyed our meal. Breakfast is 5 star. Cocktails at sundown, facing the Zambezi, are world class and I see many sunsets from our home!

The next stop was The Royal Livingstone…..wowwww! What a beautiful setting and amazing service! The old British colonial architecture and classical music in the background set the tone for the stay! Everyone there was so helpful and friendly. We signed up right away for the helicopter flight over the falls and that was soooo fun and beautiful !

The food at The Royal Livingstone was very gourmet and sitting on the veranda for breakfast and dinner with the view of the Zambezi was amazing! Seeing the animals walking around write grounds was an added bonus! We shopped at both the gift shop there and went to the Zaambezi Sun gift shops, as they had more of a selection of women’s shirts. We enjoyed getting to see the difference between the two hotels. The ZS defintely catered more to families while the RL was pure luxury for the discerning traveler.

We just want to say that Victoria Falls is a lovely place to visit, and we’d recommend anyone to go. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed. Registration was done on the sofas! The location of the hotel was excellent and the rooms are lovely and the grounds are just gorgeous. Staff was all friendly and very helpful. We recommend the hotel! The helicopter ride was great, and it complimented the experience of viewing the falls on foot.

As for the Royal Livingstone – It was nice, the grounds were well maintained, MOST of the staff were very good and when we went for walks in the morning we saw Giraffe’s and antelopes… with a few Zebras thrown in. Overall… it was good.

Royal Livingstone was so fantastic! It is an elegant hotel and truly 5 star in every way. Every staff member is friendly and helpful. What a great place to end our holiday!

We had an amazing time on our trip. We loved every place that we stayed at and all of our transfers and transportation were perfect. The food was delicious and the people were fantastic everywhere we went. The only change that we would make would be to stay longer!

Our next stop on the itinerary was The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Victoria Falls. It’s a five star hotel with beautiful grounds and a fabulous restaurant. We, again had a butler, Luke, but his roll was more similar to that of a room stewart on a cruise ship. We were only here two nights, one full day. We were able to take a leisurely stroll to the falls passing zebra, giraffe, impala and monkeys all along the way. The Falls from the Zambia side were spectacular and in May, were very full.

Royal Livingstone was beautiful and we got soaking wet at the falls. Instead of the Sunset Cruise we wished we had done a smaller boat tour that gets up close to shore because we did not see any wildlife on the cruise.

The restaurant at the Royal Livingstone was really good and surprisingly inexpensive. The breakfast buffet was huge and really good and the eggs Benedict were delicious. The service at the hotel is really good, too. And the location is beautiful. There were zebras and giraffes wandering around near the rooms. The bar on the deck on the river is really nice at sunset and the drinks are delicious. The main restaurant overlooking the broad lawn ad river spills out onto a stone patio most of which is covered . They have music every evening; gentle flute and guitar which is really nice.

The accommodation was fantastic, food great, people friendly.

The part in Zambia was amazing also. The hotel was wonderful with a lot of animals in the park and very close to the falls. The Lion walk and the helicopter flight were extraordinary. I really recommend it.

The Royal Livingstone was beautful and in a prefect locations, however I don’t think it was quite “5 star.” This is mostly due to the service. For instance, during high tea a group of 5 or so male waiters stood around laughing and joking the entire time right in front of us and two other ladies as we were quietly having tea on the patio- right between us and the view of the river. We couldnt tell what they were saying but as they were all men and we were all women and they kept looking at us. I have to say it made us uncomfortable. No big deal, but visibly slacking off in plain sight doesnt seem like proper behavior for that class of hotel. Our cart did not arrive when we scheduled for it (i think they forgot), they did not re-supply our in-room biscuits and tea bags and I had to go find the butler for more, small stuff like that just added up. Nothing terrible by any means, but just not expected for 5 star. Other than little staff nuances like that I loved it. I think if I went back we would be perfectly happy at the zambezi sun. Mom and i walked around the grounds for a bit and it seems really nice and a bit more fun. But no regrets. I’m glad we spent the extra money to experience the Royal. All the tours we booked were fantastic. My favorite is the Livingstone Island tour. I would strongly recommend anyone who goes does that one. The village market was cool as well. I was expecting something “touristy” however it was a real local market and we were definitely outsiders there. It was a very eye opening experience and i’m really glad we went.

Royal livingston hotel – one word to describe it. GRAND with impeccable service. Personal service from staff. Felt like royalty when we were there. We made the right decision to cross over to zambawea as the falls was better on that sight. Unforgetable experience

is a MUST as the hotel, level of service, and the view it has of the river is gorgeous.
