The Tarangire Treetop Lodge is a sought-after accommodation surrounded by breath-taking views of the Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, Lake Manyara and The Rift Valley. It houses a one-thousand-year-old baobab tree on its property. This is a perfect place to rest and recharge before a day of adventure to follow.
A day full of activities to choose from will leave you feeling spoilt for choice. Embark on a day game drive, visit the local Maasai village, brave a bush walk and return in time for sundowners or for a night drive to spot predators on the hunt. rn
Your day kicks off with a tour through the Tarangire National Park. The height of the dry season attracts a myriad of wildlife, most famous for impressive elephant sightings and well worth the visit. A personalized picnic will be prepared and enjoyed in the bush on the way to the Kuro Airstrip where your short charter flight to Manyara takes off. Arrive at The Manor at Ngorongoro where a complimentary spa treatment awaits you after a day of game viewing and travelling.
The following day includes a tour into the Manyara National park. The Manyara National Park hosts an impressive number of species with over 400 types of birds that can be spotted – remember to pack in your binoculars. Back at your base camp, many activities can be arranged such as horseback riding through the bushveld, local farm and school visits for community outreach programs.
The 6th day is focused on an exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater where an intimate picnic lunch will be arranged. This is a definite highlight with guaranteed animal sightings. Big cats and elephants are commonly spotted. You will make your way back to the camp for evening cocktails and a recharging dinner.
After your breakfast, you’ll make your way back to the Manyara airstrip for your flight to the Serengeti. Once on Serengeti soil, you’ll embark on a game drive to the Serengeti Migration Camp, after which dinner in an open air style under the stars will be ready for you to enjoy.
The following day you will get a taster of the vast and expansive Serengeti with a game drive to witness some of the most famous wildlife in this sanctuary and a bush picnic-style lunch will be arranged for an immersive experience. Return for a local dish at dinner.
The last full day of the tour can be spent in relaxation watching animal crossings or joining in on more bush walks and game drives. Your final diner will take place around a campfire under the baobab tree and night stars where you can recount your favourite memories made.
Enjoy a game drive back to Arusha after a delicious breakfast. Once at the Arusha Tree Lodge you will be chauffeured to the Kilimanjaro International Airport en route home after a safari of a lifetime.
