Take an incomparable journey through Tanzania and witness the wild spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater, the endless plains of the Serengeti and the still, tranquil waters of Lake Victoria. This is a unique mix of classic East African safari experiences as well as breaking ground on new habituation efforts with chimp trekking at Rubondo Island Camp.
Your adventure starts with a one-night stay at Legendary Lodge before you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This once ancient volcano is classed as a World Heritage Site and is home to thousands of animals coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai tribes. This is where you will sample locally grown and brewed coffee, gain fascinating insights into Maasai culture and safari through a crater, while enjoying luxury accommodation.
The next part of this already incredible safari sojourn sees you being charter flown to the Serengeti, one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas and host of the Great Migration. You will be spending your time in a migratory safari camp that follows the herds during the year. It’s the ultimate disconnect from the modern world and an immersion into raw and wild Africa, where canvas is the only thing separating you from the landscape.
The final leg of this already incredible safari sojourn takes you to Lake Victoria. This is where you will spend some time exploring lush forests in search of monkeys and chimpanzees with researchers and rangers, dedicated to conservation efforts. Your leisure time will be spent cruising on the lake or sunbathing poolside, the perfect way to relax.

Located amidst the lush greenery and serene beauty of Tanzania’s countryside, Arusha’s Legendary Lodge offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This is the start of your journey.
The lodge exudes a cosy charm, with its cottages blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. You can unwind by the sparkling swimming pool or enjoy a leisurely stroll in the gardens, immersing yourself in the tranquil atmosphere. Plus, the lodge’s restaurant serves delectable cuisine prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Nestled in the awe-inspiring landscapes of Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Highlands, the exquisite Gibb’s Farm offers a slice of paradise. Designed with a nod to colonial farmhouses, the lodge’s elegant architecture harmonizes with the breathtaking vistas of rolling green hills and distant peaks of the Ngorongoro Crater.
During your stay at Gibb’s Farm, an array of unforgettable experiences awaits. Set out on a guided tour to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its vast, wildlife-rich plains. Embark on a thrilling game drive and witness the spectacle of lions, elephants, and rhinos in their natural habitat. For a more immersive cultural experience, visit a local Maasai village and gain insights into their fascinating traditions and way of life.
Back at the lodge, indulge your senses with a pampering spa treatment inspired by ancient African rituals or simply relax by the sparkling swimming pool, surrounded by lush gardens. As evening falls, savor exquisite meals at the on-site restaurant, where a fusion of international and local flavors tantalizes your taste buds.
After breakfast, you will catch a charter flight to the famed Serengeti. Upon arrival, you will be whisked away to your next accommodation, Olakira Migration Camp. Nestled in the heart of one of nature’s grandest spectacles, the Great Migration, Olakira Migration Camp immerses you in the captivating rhythms of this remarkable phenomenon.
The camp relocates twice a year, spending several months in the northern Serengeti before migrating to the southern section, closely following the herds. Your safari tent, equipped with showers and flush toilets, provides a comfortable connection to the untamed wilderness, offering an authentic African escape.
Over the next few days, you will embark on explorations in pursuit of some of the most exceptional game viewing opportunities in Africa. Vast grasslands, endless savannahs, riverine forests, and woodlands set the stage for unforgettable encounters with iconic wildlife, including the elusive leopard, majestic lion, and swift cheetah – the coveted big cats of Africa. As the sun sets, you will return to camp, where you can relish a delicious dinner and share the day’s adventures in true African fashion, gathered around a crackling fire.
After a final morning in the Serengeti, you will be flown out to Rubondo Island Camp on Lake Victoria. Rubondo Island Camp is the only camp on the island, and it overlooks the lake, surrounded by tropical forests. It’s an untouched haven where hippos and crocodiles sunbath, and chimpanzees and monkeys populate the lush forest canopy.
One of your mornings will be spent setting out with a guide, a researcher, and a ranger to search for chimpanzees and be a part of the Rubondo habituation programme, a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be some of the first travellers to meet the islands chimps.
The island offers a host of activities that include guided nature walks, safari-style game drives and floating serenely on calm waters in a traditional dhow. Leisure hours are spent in utter relaxation, reclining poolside, or retreating to your private veranda with a chilled bottle of wine being serenaded by the sounds of the forest.
After your final breakfast overlooking Lake Victoria, you will be driven to the airstrip for your morning flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport to continue your adventures or start heading back home.
