Overview

Take an incomparable journey through Tanzania and witness the wild spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater, the tranquil waters of Lake Victoria and the endless plains of the Serengeti. This is a unique mix of classic East African safari experiences as well as breaking ground on new habituation efforts with chimp trekking at Rubondo Island Camp.

Your adventure starts with a one-night stay at Rivertrees Country Inn before you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This once ancient volcano is classed as a World Heritage Site and is home to thousands of animals coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai tribes. This is where you will explore Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire, and gain fascinating insights into Maasai culture and safari through a crater, while enjoying luxury accommodation.

The next part in this safari adventure takes you to Lake Victoria. This is where you will spend some time exploring lush forests in search of monkeys and chimpanzees with researchers and rangers, dedicated to conservation efforts. Your leisure time will be spent cruising on the lake or sunbathing poolside, the perfect way to relax.

The final leg of this already incredible safari sojourn sees you being charter flown to the Serengeti, one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas and host of the Great Migration. You will be spending your time in a migratory safari camp that follows the herds during the year. It’s the ultimate disconnect from the modern world and an immersion into raw and wild Africa, where canvas is the only thing separating you from the landscape.

Tanzania really knows how to deliver on adventure. Watching the herds of the Great Migration in the Serengeti is an absolute bucket-list moment, but adding Rubondo to the mix takes it to a whole new level. Trekking through the forest for a chance to spot chimps is unforgettable—and it's not just about the chimps. You've got sitatunga, elephants, giraffes, countless birds, and at night, the forest lights up with thousands of fireflies. It's pure magic.
