Overview

You likely have a picture in mind of what you imagine an African safari to be. From the animated landscapes of ‘The Lion King' to the romantic setting of ‘Out of Africa' and iconic documentaries showcasing African animals in their natural habitat. From the thrilling chase of the cheetah and gazelle, the desperate rush of the wildebeest and zebra across crocodile-infested rivers, to the classic grasslands with dome-shaped acacia trees stretching to the horizon, accompanied by fiery red sunsets – this is East Africa. The real-life experience is nothing short of spectacular.

In this epic 13-day journey, the combination of two flagship East African safari destinations, Kenya's Masai Mara and Tanzania's Serengeti already promises an incredible safari.  The addition of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, home to the Big 5, Lake Manyara National Park and hidden gem, Tarangire National Park finishes it off beautifully. Each stop sees you accommodated in complete luxury strategically placed to ensure superb game viewing and experiencing bucket-list add-ons like a hot-air balloon safari.

This trip is perfect for anyone wishing to experience a quintessential East Africa safari in luxurious accommodation that exudes authenticity. It welcomes solo travellers, groups, couples, and families with older children, providing an unforgettable journey through the heart of the renowned east African safari region. A beach stay on the dreamy shores of Zanzibar Island could make an easy add-on to this trip and perfectly complement your safari, allowing you to unwind on white sandy palm-lined beaches, the ultimate safari and beach getaway.

Savour your last breakfast at Angama Mara as you admire the Mara panorama one last time, today you make the cross-border journey south to Tanzania's Serengeti. Your guide will drive you back to the airstrip where you'll board your flight to the Serengeti Grumeti Reserve's Sasakwa Airstrip. You'll be met again on arrival at Sasakwa by a Singita representative and driven to your next stop and home for the next three nights, the exquisite exclusive-use Singita Explore.

Singita Explore is a mobile tented camp which combines the authenticity of camping in the most incredible Serengeti landscapes, without forfeiting any comfort and service expected from a 5-star lodge experience. Head out with your expert guide on walking safaris on the concession, game drives for exciting wildlife encounters, scenic sundowners and coffee stops along the way. Book a hot-air balloon safari for the chance to float serenely over the Serengeti plains.
