Victoria Falls, Chobe & Okavango Delta Safari
This compact and action-filled tour takes you to three of Southern Africa's top destinations – Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta – with two nights spent at each. Accommodation is luxurious throughout and you can expect personalised service and an exclusive, crowd-free safari experience. It is an all-inclusive tour with delicious, gourmet meals included as well as game drives, canoeing and river cruises. There are also opportunities to enjoy exciting optional activities like white-water rafting and adventure activities at Victoria Falls, as well as once-in-a-lifetime interaction with habituated elephants.
You will begin at the iconic Victoria Falls where adventure, thrills and an introduction to safari awaits. You will overnight in a luxurious ‘treehouse' suite, raised above the riverbanks of the Zambezi River and enjoy a complimentary tour of Victoria Falls. Move to Chobe National Park for gorgeous river views, sundowners on the water and lots of elephant sightings. Your final destination is the Okavango Delta where you will experience complete tranquillity, exclusivity and luxury in a beautiful tented camp. Quick, hassle-free transfers are done by road and light aircraft flight, and you are accompanied at all times by an experienced guide.
We arrived in an open-air jeep from the border (we wish we had known so Kelli could have put her hair up and we would have had a small US$ bill ready to tip the driver.) The staff greeted us very warmly and gave us lots of info. The round “tree house” room was very unique and fun. We loved the food here, (very gourmet-like, much better portion size compared to Notten’s) and the outdoor Tiki bar! The very best part was the evening boat tours to look for animals. Thank goodness our guide Junior took us to Victoria Falls, shopping and touring a village early before the day got too hot! We had a lot of fun taking a boat up and down the Zambezi and through some rapids! Also, ...
Your adventure begins after touching down at Livingstone Airport in Zambia, where you will be greeted and welcomed by a staffer from Sussi & Chuma Lodge. A short road transfer takes you to the lodge’s beautiful setting on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, and this will be your base for the following two nights. The afternoon is yours to spend as you please – sit back and take in sweeping views of the river from your private elevated ‘treehouse’, track rhino on foot or enjoy your first afternoon game drive.
After a restful night you can look forward to a day of exciting activities, all included in your stay: take a tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, go canoeing, or enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi. The lodge also offers walking safaris and game drives in Mosi-oa Tunya National Park, and cultural tours to the local school and village.
Livingstone is known as Africa’s adventure capital so if you are an adrenalin junkie you can take on the Grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi River, swim on the edge of the Falls in the Devil’s Pool, take the ‘Flight of the Angels’ over the Falls on a helicopter or microlight, or go bungee jumping. These activities are optional extras but are easily co-ordinated by your personal Go2Africa safari expert.
Dine overlooking the Zambezi and its resident hippo pods
Fully equipped bush spa to relax in after a long safari
Cosy chalets overlooking the river
Enjoy sundowners on a sunset boat cruise
Inspiring visits to local businesses empowered by the lodge
Fully Inclusive (All Meals, Selected Beverages)

Thank goodness our guide Junior took us to Victoria Falls, shopping and touring a village early before the day got too hot! We had a lot of fun taking a boat up and down the Zambezi and through some rapids! Also, there were very FEW other boats around us. We’ll need to come back and see it when the Zambezi is high.
The staff was amazing. This room was our favorite and the bed was so huge and comfortable. The food was great. The game drives and boat rides were much more crowded here than in the other places. The landscapes were much drier also. We did get to see a very large group of lions sleeping, like 11 or 12! The Botswana Independence Day happened while we were there so there was a special BBQ on the lawn (we tried caterpillars!) and we had an interesting history lesson by the fire at night. We also had a fun boat ride on our last night on a larger boat (which had an upper deck) with lots of appetizers and drinks!
Bid farewell to Zambia with a final breakfast and an early morning game drive. It is then time to cross the Kazangula border into Botswana – you will transfer over the river at a place known as ‘Four Countries’ as it is the point where the borders of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia meet. A guide will escort you through customs to ensure a hassle-free crossing. After the transfer, you will arrive at Chobe Chilwero Lodge, located on a hilltop overlooking the Chobe River and floodplains.
Chobe National Park is the second largest wilderness reserve in the country and is best known for its estimated 80 000-strong elephant population. After lunch, and perhaps a spot of high tea, is the scheduled afternoon safari activity, which is usually a romantic cruise on the Chobe River (look out for families of elephants crossing, the leader testing the depth of the water and the babies kept safe in the middle of the group).
You will return to the lodge after a spectacular sunset where a sumptuous dinner awaits. The following day is all about tracking big game including lion, hippo, crocodile and large herds of elephant and buffalo – either on game drives or river cruises. Chobe Chilwero also boasts a full spa facility, which is said to be the best in the country.

The Stanley Lodge was also very nice… The landscape is also very nice. All the tents were a fantastic experience for kids, and all very nice, new looking and clean and nice locations.
Today you will begin the exciting journey into the Okavango Delta. After a short transfer to Kasane Airport a light aircraft flight takes you to Stanley’s Airstrip. It is a very scenic flight and is followed by a short road transfer to Stanley’s Camp.
Your next two nights are spent in luxurious tented suites, and you will be treated to a very exclusive safari experience within 260 000 acres of private wilderness. The camp accommodates just 16 guests at any one time and offers serene mekoro excursions (subject to water levels), romantic bush dinners, guided nature walks, game drives as well as the rare opportunity to enjoy night drives.
An optional extra that comes highly recommended is the chance to get close to three semi-habituated orphaned elephants, walk alongside them and even feed them.

The day begins as usual with a scheduled morning safari activity, usually a game drive, followed by a full breakfast. It is then onto Stanley’s Airstrip for a short light aircraft flight to Maun International Airport which connects to South Africa, Namibia or Victoria Falls, depending on your next destination.
