Overview

Combine two of Southern Africa’s most dramatic destinations on this short but jam-packed safari adventure, which is an ideal as an ‘add-on’ to a longer holiday itinerary or as a stand-alone vacation for a special occasion.

Begin your journey close to thundering Victoria Falls with a stay at the high-end Tongabezi Lodge on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Spend your time exploring the safari hub of the Victoria Falls region; there are game drives into Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and the ‘must-do’ visit to Victoria Falls, as well as a long list of other activities that range from bungee jumping and white-water rafting to elephant-back safaris and sunset river cruises.

Next, you transfer to next-door Botswana and Chobe Game Lodge in search of big game in the legendary Chobe National Park, which is home to Southern Africa’s largest elephant populations as well as huge herds of buffalo, many antelope species and all the large predators. Besides exciting game drives you can also enjoy pampering spa treatments and a romantic sunset cruise down the Chobe River.

Itinerary information

Arrive at Livingstone Airport where you will be met and transferred to the fully inclusive Tongabezi Lodge on the forested banks of the Zambezi River. Check in and settle into your room, which will be your home for the three nights.

After taking in the views of the Zambezi River from the lodge, take a trip down to Victoria Falls and experience ‘The Smoke That Thunders’ before enjoying one of the many adventure activities on offer. Top of the list are activities such as white-water rafting and bungee jumping but there are all sorts of safari adventures too – head out on game drives, birding trips or even canoe safaris.
