Romantic Falls, Zambezi & Chobe
Spend five memorable days exploring two of Africa’s top safari destinations: Zambia’s Victoria Falls and Botswana’s Chobe National Park – a great add-on trip to a larger itinerary.
Enjoy a complementary tour to thundering Victoria Falls before deciding how to spend the rest of your time in this famous Zambezi River region – Victoria Falls is home to all the adrenalin-activities you could ask for as well as more sedate excursions and game drives.
The second part of your trip sees you off across the border to the Chobe River in Botswana for exciting game viewing in one of Africa’s heavyweight reserves – the Chobe National Park, home to tens of thousands of elephants in the June – October dry season.
Royal Livingstone was a perfect fit for us. We were all blown away by the animals on the grounds. So fun to see them! It is a beautiful location too! Staff were so attentive. Can't wait to go back! The tea was a bit disappointing because they only prepped it for 4 people rather than 6, but once we realized they weren't charging us for 6, that was better! The breakfasts at Royal Livingstone were phenomenal! More time in Victoria Falls would have been enjoyed by all!
Today you will arrive at Livingstone Airport and transfer to The Royal Livingstone Hotel, situated right on the banks of the Zambezi River and very close to Victoria Falls.
Spend two nights at this elegant hotel on a bed and breakfast basis and enjoy complimentary entrance and a tour of Victoria Falls. The area is crammed with adventures and activities that range from white-knuckle rides on white-water rafting trips and bungee jumps to more sedate canoe safaris and sunset river cruises. For a bird’s eye view of Victoria Falls, embark on a helicopter tour known as the ‘Flight of Angels’.

The staff was amazing. This room was our favorite and the bed was so huge and comfortable. The food was great. The game drives and boat rides were much more crowded here than in the other places. The landscapes were much drier also. We did get to see a very large group of lions sleeping, like 11 or 12! The Botswana Independence Day happened while we were there so there was a special BBQ on the lawn (we tried caterpillars!) and we had an interesting history lesson by the fire at night. We also had a fun boat ride on our last night on a larger boat (which had an upper deck) with lots of appetizers and drinks!
Today you will set off on a road transfer to Kasane in Botswana where you will stay at the fully-inclusive Chobe Chilwero for two nights.
This fantastically romantic and well-appointed lodge is positioned on the escarpment of the Chobe River and overlooks its vast floodplains – the views are amazing and the sunsets are spectacular.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives as well as river cruises in the Chobe National Park – this conservation area is famous for its dry season game viewing (May to October, peaking in the latter months) and provides sensational up-close sightings of elephants, buffalo, lion and many antelope species. The bird watching is extraordinary and there is a good deal of aquatic life to view as well.

Child-minding and complimentary Wi-Fi services
Twice-daily game drives or a sunset cruise
Spa with tree-top treatment room and complimentary foot massage
Fully Inclusive (All Meals, Selected Beverages)
