A scenic short-haul flight takes you on to your next destination, Shawa Luangwa Camp in South Luangwa National Park. The third and last stop takes you somewhere truly unique. Likoma Island on Lake Malawi—nicknamed the ‘Lake of Stars’—is a beautiful island rich in culture, history and natural scenery. Day 1-3: Tongabezi Lodge, Livingstone, Victoria Falls | 4 Nights

On arrival at Livingstone International Airport, meet your driver for your road transfer to the beautiful Tongabezi Lodge. Set idyllically on the banks of the vast Zambezi River, just upstream from Victoria Falls, Tongabezi is the perfect base from which to explore this natural wonder of the World.

Known as the 'Adventure Capital of Africa' for good reason, there is an array of thrill-seeker activities on offer at Victoria Falls. However, if white river rafting, bridge swinging or bungee jumping is a bit too adventurous for you, there's something for everyone. Head out for a game drive or nature walk to appreciate the surrounding fauna and flora or take a scenic helicopter ride for a bird's-eye view of the Falls. Float serenely along the river on a boat cruise, try out catch-and-release fishing, or shop for mementos made by local crafters at a local market.

Although there are plenty of activities to fill your days, make sure you spare some time to enjoy the luxury and tranquillity of the award-winning Tongabezi Lodge. Cool off in the plunge pool, relax on the lookout deck, head out for an island picnic, all the while enjoying expansive views of the great Zambezi River.

Day 4-6: Shawa Luangwa Camp, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

A driver will transfer you back to Livingstone International Airport, where you will board a flight to your safari at South Luangwa National Park. Meet your guide on arrival at Mfuwe Airport for a road transfer to Shawa Luangwa Camp, where a truly authentic safari awaits.

Set on the tree-lined banks of the Luangwa River, and primely positioned in the game rich Nsefu sector of South Luangwa, game viewing here is exceptional. Guests have the option of heading out on foot, in a game viewer vehicle, or by boat, with each experience providing a unique perspective of the resident wildlife and their habitat. The game viewing continues from game drive to lodge, with a plethora of wildlife enjoying the cool river waters in front of camp and an array of birds nesting on the riverbanks.

Luxury meets authenticity at Shawa Luangwa. Furnished with every modern convenience, the tents are comfortable and surrounded by nature - blending perfectly into the surroundings, with a feather-light footprint. The added romantic touch of an outdoor shower and bathtub with a view provides ultimate relaxation after an exciting day exploring this incredible destination.

Day 7-9: Kaya Mawa, Likoma Island, Lake Malawi | 3 Nights

A transfer back to Mfuwe Airport and a flight via Lilongwe takes you to your next stop, Likoma Island, Lake Malawi. Hidden away in a private bay on the island, your third and final home-away-from-home, Kaya Mawa, will transport you into a life of simple pleasures and barefoot luxury. Translating to 'Maybe Tomorrow', Kaya Mawa is true to its name. It exudes tranquillity and a sense of welcome which will entice you to slow down and truly unwind.

Indulge in a spa treatment, relax on pristine beaches, or stretch out tired muscles in a waterside yoga session. Enjoy the variety of water sports available, including snorkelling, diving, kayaking, water-skiing, sailing, and windsurfing. Head out on a guided bicycle, quad bike, or walking tour. Take in waterscape views on a boat excursion, or just enjoy the lodge under the tentative care and warm hospitality of the staff. Day 10: Bid Farewell -Lilongwe International Airport, Malawi

Savour your last morning and breakfast at Kaya Mawa before bidding farewell to this island paradise. A short flight will take you from Likoma Island back to Lilongwe International Airport for your journey home.
